What is it?

This workshop introduces the fundamentals of Communication Design through applied studies in graphic design, communication, and presentation. Students will explore professional design practices while developing technical and creative skills. They will work in creative teams in the discovery process, concluding with teams presenting their artwork, design process, and identity as creative individuals.

Supplies

Supplies for the Communication Design Future Creatives project are fully provided by MIAD. A Visual Research Packet will be provided to each student, as well as colored pencils for each team to use.

Agenda

Day 1: Branding 101 presentation (60 minutes), team brainstorming
Day 2: Creative futures in art & design presentation (30 minutes), team project pitches

Prior to first arrival, please establish healthy working groups evenly.

In between visits, students will need a 1-2 workdays on the project during a class when MIAD is not on-site.
