Future Creatives

Fine Art Workshop

What is it?

This workshop introduces the fundamentals of Fine Arts-a cross-pollination of ideas, blending different materials, concepts, and approaches to art-making. Students are encouraged to take risks, experiment with their practice, and communicate their ideas from the creative process.

Supplies

Supplies for the Fine Arts Future Creatives project are NOT provided by MIAD, as each artist will work in their chosen medium for the workshop project. Rather, it is up to the student/school to provide materials.

Agenda

Day 1: Altered Identity presentation, individual brainstorming
Day 2: Creative futures in art & design presentation, students share projects

Prior to first arrival, students must choose a self-portrait, a found photograph, an object, or a personal artifact (something meaningful or familiar) and must bring with for both visits.

In between visits, students will need a 1-2 workdays on the project during a class when MIAD is not on-site.
