MIAD’s Future Creatives program partners with Milwaukee-area high schools to provide a variety of hands-on academic experiences that serve as educational and career pathways in the growing design-based and creative industries.

Reinforcing the importance of college as a viable option and student awareness of creative-based career opportunities, the program also informs students of opportunities to engage with higher education at the high school level to begin their path to college.

Bring the energy of MIAD to your high school classroom with Future Creatives! This 2-day workshop features two enriching visits from a MIAD instructor, guiding your students through a compelling fine art or design lesson. Students will collaborate and explore their individual talents to develop concept sketches and finished art pieces. The first day focuses on igniting ideas with a project introduction and team brainstorming. The second day culminates in students presenting their work and discovering the exciting myriad of art and design career paths through an engaging presentation. To ensure project success, please allocate one to two class periods between visits for dedicated in-class work time.
